We are delighted to support the heritage skills work taking place across the wider estate at Marlborough Farm. Booths Stonemasonry & Masonry Conservation is offering a series of hands-on, one-day workshops designed for anyone interested in the preservation of historic structures. Held in their tranquil rural workshop in Aubourn, these sessions provide a unique opportunity to learn traditional crafts from time-served stonemasons, whether you are a homeowner tackling a renovation project or simply keen to explore a new creative hobby.
The 2026 course programme features specialised sessions in Letter Cutting and Lime Pointing. The Letter Cutting workshop introduces the art of hand-carving inscriptions into Lincoln Cathedral silver bed limestone, allowing participants to create their own house signs or gifts. For those focused on building maintenance, the Lime Pointing course provides essential practical knowledge on using traditional lime mixes for masonry repairs. Each course is limited to ten participants to ensure personalised tuition and includes a light lunch, refreshments, and all necessary materials.
